Subject: IMAP reads empty mail and sees no attachments
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Notes Client
Technical Area: Application Development
Platform: Windows
Release: 8.5.3
Reproducible: Always

We have a notesmaildatabase in which we receive mail from outside the company (could be any mailclient). These mails are forwarded to another system, therefore an agent runs in this maildatabase, adds a couple of fields to the document and copies it to the next LN-maildatabase. On this database is a third party product which reads the mail through imap and transports it to the next system. The problem is that in this case, the imap does not see the content of the mail (including attachments), it seems it has a problem with the body field. Other fields like from/sendto are read.
It does work, after the mail has been manually saved before. I tried computewithform, editdocument with save, create new doc because I hoped it had something to do with backend - frontend form issues (hence the manual save solution). Anybody an idea as to what I can try next?

Found out so far that empty bodies are probably caused by mime-bodies instead of richtext.

Problem solved by upgrading to R9
